You have to let the refs handle the situation. And that's why they're deservedly catching flack. The refs were letting some things happen and penalizing other things.
Yes, the refs should have had better control. As well, if the NFL is serious about cleaning this bullshit up, they need to be watching every play of the last 2 BvS games and hand out fines and suspensions for whomever instigates outside the lines bullshit. This kind of stuff goes on because players who won't stop when the whistle blows are allowed to go unchecked.
