But the root cause is ownership. They act like the generation coming out of the depression. In 1950 they still think they are in it. Had they signed Trey, Tee, and Jamar sooner they’d have been fine. They got aggressive in FA after Burrow tore his ACL. They got aggressive in FA after Taylor’s first year when they got obliterated. They’ve got to hit on more players in both FA & the draft. They aren’t.
