To be fair, NE had some truly horrific drafts in their dynasty run. They threw away a few first rounders on garbage.
I feel like the Ravens value different traits in players than others. They don't seem to put as much emphasis on "premium positions" as teams like the Bengals. The Steelers are similar. They have zero issue selecting interior linemen and safeties if they think it's the best shot they have at helping their team. Everything ultimately revolves around controlling the line of scrimmage for those teams. They build everything else around that concept. They are rarely flat out bad for that reason. When they manage to have a real quarterback fall into their laps, they become extremely tough to beat.
