But yeah I'd go with Chase number one too. It's not often Bengals & other teams have a top-tier elite fantasy player.
I started early 2000s and I always went running back for my first two picks for years (longer than I should have).
Now, I have evolved and generally go with tiers, so it's typically a receiver or running back first, but I still like to snag a back somewhat early (as long as there's one worthy) and then pick up a few later because running backs usually give you consistent points with the ability to always score at least one TD, even if they're not the best, whereas a receiver in the lower tiers won't do a lot of good, besides for a few big games.
Speaking of old days, I remember when you could draft someone like Jerome Bettis (I never did) because he might get like five carries a game for twelve yards but two of them would be for touchdowns because they'd vulture goal line carries.
I think Barkley's the #2 pick behind Chase, especially with an improved o-line for us.
