And I was surprised the Bengals were willing to pay so much for a WR2.
With that said, I do wonder if the pressure (threat?) of potentially not signing Chase played into the decision to sign Higgins or not.
That additional $$ could have gone a long way in signing two good veterans at other positions at G/DL and drafted a WR early to replace Higgins instead.
I would have been completely ok, possibly even more excited, if Bengals had instead signed James Daniels + Chase Young and drafted Egbuka in Rd 1.
To me, that would have given a really good, versatile IOL in his prime, a good DE2 in his prime age to replace Hubbard, and a really sound, productive WR from a college who has been churning out good WRs in recent years to be the new WR2 for years to come.
You sure love to play what if games with our roster. My favorite part is you think you are a genious and if Bengals spent THEIR money on guys you say they should have we are guaranteed a Lombardi.
Maybe you need to get over yourself. Maybe you need to accept your daily whining will not help us win one game in 2025 or beyond. Maybe the Bengal's plan does not align with yours.
As for others who say stupid stuff like getting players to take pay cuts is stupid unless they sign someone with the money this year, please understand the unspent cap space rolls over to the next year 100%. If it did not, your rants would make sense, but simply having more cap space the following year is a great thing.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!
