Volson Renegotiates Contract
#21
(8 hours ago)Sled21 Wrote: You keep throwing out that false equivalency. A contract says a player will play for a certain franchise for a certain number of years, and right there in the contract it tells the player what the contract guarantees. Money guarantees, no cut clauses, etc. If a team has paid the player all his monetary guarantees, and there is no "no cut" clause, and then they renegotiate or cut the player, the team has lived up to it's part of the bargain.

But to accept the facts then they lose a FO trash talking point.

Bengals were too loyal for years and kept or honored contracts when players underperformed. I am glad they cut Cappa and Rankins, love it they reworked deals for Moss, Volson and Stone.

I hope they work something out with Trey as well, again like cutting players, they don't have to do it, but I hope they do it. I would not be surprised if they are having a discussion with Pratt right now. Take a pay cut or get cut. If he agrees to a pay cut, then he becomes a much better trade candidate, no way we can trade him on hiis current contract.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!
