They are both wrong. And the likely compromises that would work will make them both unhappy and they aren't open to that.
There is a lack of love of football here. The Bengals FO and their nickel and dime act does not show love of football. It does not show sacrifice. You want your players to sacrifice? That starts from the top. OTOH Trey isn't acting like playing is a privilege that he would do for free. Many people would. Love means sacrifice. It means taking the chance on people you may have angered you or acted untrustworthy in the past. Or doing things that "you shouldn't have to do". Life isn't fair but you do get more out of it if you put more in.
