This might be a classic case of underestimating the talent we see. We get used to the production and think any high draft pick can produce at said level. We did it with Whitworth and it took a decade to right the ship we did with Bates and still haven't recovered. I also think only maybe 5 or 6 teams would've even been in the running to trade for Trey so it's not like the league undervalues him.
