And I believe MM played better from the spot Hendrickson plays, so he may not get much playing time rotating in for Hendrickson unless a rest really is needed.
And given the draft has come and gone, I don't want to see Hendrickson traded for a future draft pick because that will just make the defense (much, much) worse for 2025.
One has to also assume Ossai will get a good amount of playing time too because why else would you have chosen to sign back for $8 mill when you supposedly had better offers on the table?
It may be 2026 before we see MM and SS out there much together.
It may be, Myles Murphy was terrible at sealing the edge in the run game last year as well, so even on running downs he needs to really improve.
With Shemar being so great at sealing the edge I think he could start immediately in Sam's role at LDE. Ossai will of course get the most snaps since
they paid the man, but Ossai isn't a great run stopper either and is undersized.
