CES back with a BANG. ....Sweep would put Reds at .500, and a good bounce back from the losing.
Reds needed a power hitter, and this CES neck, shoulders, back is a big dude like Willie Stargell, Dave Parker, Lee May or Kevin Mitchell. Not a Punch and Judy hitter, but a Big Dude Power Hitter that Reds have been needing in the power middle of the batting order. That he can play Third Base or First Base is a huge plus. So Welcome Back to The Reds CES. He's big enough to play Linebacker for The Bengals. When they interviewed him, or when he stands next to the other players, this is one big strong guy, this CES. Reds would not be going for a sweep without him in this series. Reds have been all jab and no knock out punch. Guys getting on base, but no RBI hitters. Hopefully CES behind De La Cruz is the Big Guy they've needed behind De La Cruz, like Boog Powell after Frank Robinson for a Power Middle to knock in RBI's. As Tony Perez once said, Pete and Joe get on base, but without me and Bench knocking them in, we don't win.
