So I had to dump those 2, add 2 pitchers actually playing and doing well last 30 days, and that still leaves 2 pitchers of mine in IL as I hope they return. The Cubs star pitcher of last year and Yankees star pitcher Gil. Nola pushed back from June to mid July and Bieber pushed back from July to mid August means they are pretty injured and no help to me. So I had 5 or 6 injured pitchers, now i have 2 and both on IL not taking active roster space. A couple came back and are pitching. The Cubs pitcher and Gil are not far from pitching again, if they stay healthy. I've worked the injured pitchers list to death, some came back, some are damaged goods in 2025. I would have liked getting Bieber back, but he will be out most of this season as last year. He must be pretty injured now. So I'm going with pitchers who are playing and pitching well now. The 2 that I added are putting up Quality Innings last 30 days, which is what I look for, Quality Innings. Setbacks to Bieber and Nola forced me to cut them loose, they are too injured. Miller got reinjured and he has pitched lousy in 2025, way off 2024, so his new injury had me drop him also. Ranger Suarez did come off IL and pitching great for me. McCullers and Perez are back, but too early to tell as they log innings for me. Imanaga and Gil waiting in the wings on my IL. .....It is starting to clear up on all the injured pitchers I had, with some back and some cut, my active roster is not full of injured pitchers now.
Yeah, it's been a rough couple of weeks in fbb. Once again the pitching clock is breaking arms. I've had to turn over part of my pitching roster in the past two weeks as well. I like the games going by a little faster, but it's obvious that between the clock and the crackdown on the sticky, pitchers have struggled a bit.
Guz's pitching went nuclear last night, so I am in for a long week with a big fat L at the end. On the positive side, my hitters finally broke 50 in one day. My team hasn't hit well all season thus far. I keep hoping the bats will wake up! Hopefully the momentum from yesterday can continue moving forward.
Tough loss last week, Kevin. I detest losing by single digits because I know that one or two bad breaks or solid player moves could have possibly changed the outcome.
I'm just shooting to be healthy come playoff time. That's the keys to fbb; get in the tourney, and hopefully be healthy in August and September.
