With $32M in cap space, which basically means $22M because Bengals keep about $10M in reserve, what moves can they make?
If Shemar's $9M bonus prorated over 4 years added to a minimum base salary takes $3M of space, then Bengals are left with $19M.
If the thought was to give Trey $12M and use the remaining $7M on a G, I feel that may be wishful thinking.
Which brings us back to the discussions on this board about how Bengals operate as related to contracts.
If the Bengals do come to an agreement with Trey AND get a starting G, this offseason would have been successful. If we do this AND add Asante Samuels, I would be delighted!
