With the roster size facilitating an owner stashing a lot of pitching, I think if you didn't nail the draft on pitching or immediately grab the best FAs then it's hard to recover and get in enough quality innings from week to week to compete: there are the haves and have nots of starting pitching in the league. Add in that you also need luck that your SPs don't get hurt. This league has enough good owners that if you falter early it's good game, thanks for playing, and see you next year. It's hard to rebound and recover to become a winning squad.
If this were a money league, I'd not even participate as I'd only be donating to the pot.
