Good article Brad. And I think it is roughly right on the money.
One more that would be interesting to add is, the 2nd rounder issue *should* be resolved by the start of the season. Someone's gonna move. Currently 30 of 32 second rounders have not been signed including our own Demetrius T. Knight Jr.. It is all based around guaranteed money for relatively small contracts. Nick E has the biggest unsigned contract worth around $11 million.
On the one hand it sounds very petty, on the other hand you understand that teams don't want players to be able to dog it for four years after signing their deal. Still, you'd think the big motivation would be the second contract anyways.

We've seen training camp for players who miss the spring due to injury not be enough to get them up to speed to start the season. This really isn't much different.
It was always far fetched to expect him to come in and be a 8 sack player as a rookie given his college production.
We have to remember even Murphy came in more acclaimed and "pro ready"....
8 sacks would be a lot for any rookie, wouldn't it? 3.5 sacks would be a contribution. 5 sacks would eclipse his college career. If he can get 5 sacks and play the run without missing tackles like he sometimes did in college, I'd be happy with that production in his rookie season. They don't all hit the ground running like Carlos Dunlap did his rookie season.

There is a rule prohibiting him from being selected by the same team. ...but some other team could take him late and trade him to us.
