Yes, there is something about young people and the thrill for speed. Give them a Honda Civic and it struggles to go over 80mph.
Hey now, my friend and I managed to get his Honda Civic up into the 90's on an interstate in VA about 30 years ago. Pretty sure I still have the physical picture I took of the speedo for proof. Thankfully we didn't blow up the engine. lol.
Speed, to a point, has never really scared me, but I am also someone who loves to get into a 1700lb aluminum tin can and go thousands of feet into the air for fun.
Motorcycles on the other hand, nope, I know I would die on one of those. Ha ha!
