1) I agree as long as he sees the field and produces. If he plays bad, people will point to this, even though it won't have mattered.

2) I agree and corner isn't like quarterbacks and receivers or defensive/offensive linemen because you don't really need to work with your teammates to be able to produce. Corners are pretty much on an island and there's not much practice needed as long as he knows schemes and coverages.
