Sure, he may have preferred to run his CBs in man at the college level, where he had a stacked roster at all 3 levels of the defense. I have a feeing that zone is still going to be the mainstay. Why else would he be having all of the DBs, regardless of "true position" practicing all of the roles in his secondary?
