Bengals Front Office Needs To Get With It.

But I would've rather signed a starting caliber FA guard as a bad defense may limit our ceiling but failing to protect Burrow could end our season or worse risk his career.
I also dont expect a miracle from Golden but I do think his simplified defense will greatly help all involved. Lou system worked with the right players but it was confusing and players could struggle in the system. If it was me I would've committed to Trey predaft to push DE down the board. I would've much rather taking just about any other defensive position at 17.

I believe in todays game, DEs are the most important position on the defensive side of the ball, that position now is 3rd highest paid position in NFL and with the pace of the game speeding up, quality and depth is very important, even if Tre signed , DE was not addressed much in FA so i felt it was important to invest in DE in 1st or 2nd round, so im glad we did, know one could have predicted the contract issue that came up with Stewart though.
