Oh I have no doubt that's what (some) folks don't like about both Hendrickson's and Stewart's contract drama.
I don't know if I would consider that a "maturity" thing though, as we tend to see differences of opinion in how different demographics (including generations) of fans think differently in what and how something should go.
Personally, I don't mind if someone goes public about anything, as long as they are mindful that while they have freedom of speech, they don't have freedom of consequence. Them speaking out may put a bad taste in the organization's mouth and that may impact their willingness to compromise or sign you at all.
