It takes two to tango. If the Bengals wanted that extra default language a la many other teams they should’ve been ready to pony up more upfront bonus money a la many other teams. Refusing to pony up that signing bonus while asking for increased defaults cost the front office. The agent got Shemar more bonus money upfront as is the usual way of things.
