But there is difference between being optimistic and being delusional. Alot of people didn't like his tape and even the people I saw that did like his tape say he was chaotic and didn't really have pass rush moves/plan. His lack of production was more than sacks he had the worst tackle for loss production of a drafted DE since 2000. Let's hope he learns better technique from the Bengals and has a good career. But that won't change his college tape and production. Not taking the agility tests is/was a little concerning and it's fair to question that. Football is right around the corner and we will find out who Stewart is as a football player before
Every single scouting report had stewart drafted in the correct position..and many said that if he had focused on getting sacks..he would have been a jtop 5 pick..and many of those some...attributed his lack of sacks due to the way Texas and m played him..who knows ..but hes a solid first round pick .we can have this discussion in october....stop with this alot of people stuff..your people are not professional scouts.., not taking agility tests means jack crap a mid first round draft pick is a really big deal..perhaps you should let the bengals know of your concerns..my god man....you have a nice evening...I gotta run
I will be thrilled if Stewart can win a starting job some time in 2025, I think while gifted, he is raw and will need to be coached up to be consistent. I hope I am wrong, but I never trust rookies to be our saviour.
