They did the EXACT same thing with Myles Murphy.
They drafted a really athletic player with limited college production. You think they would have learned their lesson.
I can get that (with some math).
Stewart - 39 total pressures/315 pass rush snaps = 12.38% pressure rate
Pearce - 55 total pressures/254 pass rush snaps = 21.65% pressure rate
Ezeiruaku - 60 total pressures/428 pass rush snaps = 14.02% pressure rate
Green - 59 total pressures/354 pass rush snaps = 16.67% pressure rate
Stewart is kinda close to Ezeriuaku, but Ez went 44th overall.
Stewart just hasn't been an overly high pressure guy, but he has the athletic profile to suggest he could be...with the right coaching and mentality.
He doesn't NEED to be a double-digit sack guy, but he does need to have 6-8 a year to be considered worthy of a 1st round selection, IMO. Especially with all the edge talent that was there in the 2nd round.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
