3-5 sacks a season is not considered "good" (especially for edge) nowadays.
6-8 is solid, 9-11 is good, 12+ is elite.
I am not in the camp that Stewart will be a bust (although some may interpret that based on me being down on him).
I am in the camp that it will take multiple years to get Stewart up to par (at least in the pass rush department), and I am not a fan of a 1st rounder who may need to take that long to develop because I think the team needs guys who can contribute well this year and/or next year to win now in Burrow's prime.
So far, the team's only DL to have put up >3.5 sacks in a season who has been drafted since 2019 was Ossai, and it took him until Year 4 to do it.
The team heavily relied on free agents Hendrickson, Ogunjobi, and BJ Hill along with Marvin's last DE draft pick Hubbard to get sacks.
I think Shemar might surprise you and a lot of people on here. He was the main DL that Offenses tried to take away on that A&M Defense.
As others have pointed out that watched a lot of Stewart's film, he was asked to attack the B-gap a ton and wasn't really let loose to attack
Tackles on the edge. He will not be the End Offenses will try to take away here, that will be Trey and even Ossai and maybe Murphy if he
comes around now that he is in better shape. Stewart will be let loose here and if you cannot see a dude with big time size, speed and
strength going at Mims in these camp vids I don't know what to tell you.
The dude could be a wrecking ball right off the bat for this Defense, especially in sealing the edge in the run game. Who knows if he learns
to finish or not. That is really my question with Shemar Stewart...
