I'd kind of like to see it. Only to give balance/imbalance(a few more division games) back to the schedule.
I like inter-league play, but I've never been a fan of the fact that there HAS to be an inter-league series going on at all times. Bring back the rotating inter-league divisions and instead of making it one series like before, make it a home series and a road series.
The biggest argument against the last expansion was that the hitters were crushing the pitchers and there wasn't enough pitching in the pipeline. Back then, from 1994 through 2000, in four of those seven years, the average hitter was hitting at least .270. 2009 was the last year that the average was above .260. It's .246 this year and it was .243 last year. I'm pretty sure that the league can take it.
I also think that MLS has kind of spooked them a bit. "America's Pastime" took 122 years to get to 30 teams in 1998 . . . MLS started in 1996 with ten teams and 29 years later, they debuted San Diego FC as their 30th team. The NBA only took 58 years to get to 30 teams, but most of their games are in baseball's off-season. MLS isn't as big, but they're direct competition.
