When your wrists are rolling over on a 'level; swing', that bat is going to naturally raise up about 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch as it crosses the plate. When you are right on track to crush the ball with an accurate swing, but your timing is a fraction of a second late, you are going to be slightly under the ball. The bat, which is not yet full speed, will still be angled to send the ball to the right side because your wrists haven't fully rolled yet.
Now, if only Santillan can learn that.
