Marvin Lewis Flaw...He Lacks Control That Winners Need
#1
Sometimes he has absolutely no control over his team and players, which is bad for a head coach.

That so many Bengals were like loose cannons in that play-off game and ended up costing Bengals and Bengals fans first play-off win in forever....That falls on Coach Lewis. ...The fact that he couldn't control his players, tell them to stop the nonsense, don't lose focus on the game and the win. ...Announcers said Lewis tried to calm Burfict down a few times, but he just walked away from Lewis. AT THAT POINT, Burfict should have never went back in the game.  Players not listening to the coach and that wild are a liability to the team and can cost you a win, which it did.  A coach should never put a player out of control and out of focus back into the game.

When Chad Johnson went to New England, the coach there said there would be no more of that end zone/ sideline stuff or he would be off the team. Chad Johnson agreed per that coach.  Why didn't Lewis have him stop or at least cut back on that nonsense here ?.....The one coach is a winner, and Lewis is a loser.

Then we have all the off field problem players Lewis thought he could bring in over the years, and not only did it not work, but the NFL came down on the Bengals and Mike Brown told Lewis it had to be cleaned up, all the player problems with the law and suspensions.

So in looking back at the play-off loss, it is another case of Coach Lewis having no control over his team and a big reason why Carson Palmer wanted out of this team where there is no focus on winning and no direction by the coach. ....The Bengals had the lead with around 20 seconds left needing a 65 yard field goal in the rain to win, and 2 stupid unsportsmanlike conduct penalties took no time off the clock but made it a 35 yard field goal.  Just brainless and a coach that lost control over his players most of the game it seems.

I don't know if Lewis will ever be a coach that has control or knows what to do when the players don't listen to him.
