That's $8m/yr to a guy who is averaging 31 / 366 / 5 a year. They should see how 2016 goes and then see about paying Eifert He has a fourth year and then a 5th year option, so there shouldn't be any serious contract talks with him yet.
Seems like a bad way to look at it, one was his rookie year where TEs usually need to have time to adjust and year 2 was a freak accident.
Look at the difference he makes on Offense, not to mention TEs always get banged up just look at Gronk.
I got no problem waiting a year since we have the tag option but I would not be at all concerned if we extended him tomorrow.
