I think really good coaches get let go all the time for underachieving. Maty Schottenheimer is one off the top of my head. Gruden being traded is another. Harbaugh being run out.
But, yes, in general, teams do not let go of top tier talented coaches. I guess I don't see how that fact relates to the Bengals coaching situation?
