Mine are the same. You get used to it over time. It took me about a month. The first day or so is the worst, particularly when you are used to using your peripheral vision a lot. Suddenly you have t turn your head a lot more. But like I said, you do get used to them.
As far as getting old, pretty much everyone needs glasses shortly after they turn 40. That's just part of living.
