Yeah these contracts usually have so many stinking escalators and bonuses that may or may not count against the actual cap hit. 

Make the playoffs, everyone gets 150k.
Pro-Bowl- 1 mil.
All-pro-1.5mi
etc, etc

I don't think those are apart of the actual Cap. Math is hard, so idk
