Steelers' unmatched coaching longevity the envy of NFL peers

Other than the start of Noll's tenure (and the last few years) and a short dip in Cowher's it was easy for the team to stick with their coach.  I wonder what would happen if there was an extended time of losing football?  Would the "Steelers way" hold true then?

I doubt it.

A lot of your fans have called for Tomlin's head during mediocre seasons. If you guys had an extended period of losing football you'd lose a lot of your fan base and the suicide rate in greater Pittsburgh would skyrocket. Thus, applying pressure to the front office to make a change.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it is, fix it. And apparently if it's somewhere in between (i.e. Marvin and the Bengals) let it roll baby roll.
