I fully understand the angst over playoff losses...I experience it too. But like I said, football is cruel in that the fans of 31 teams have to end their season feeling disappointed. I want a playoff win bad also. And if they keep making the playoffs, the optimist in me realizes that sooner or later they have to make the breakthrough. Look at the boston red sox....100+ years of playoff losses before finally breaking through and winning a couple world series.

Sooner or later my friends...sooner or later. But along the way, don't forget to enjoy the wins, each one is a gift. Remember how good it felt going 8-0, remember coming back in the 4th quarter to beat the seahawks, remember William's INT of big ben to propel the Bengals to the win in PIT....those things should not all be forgotten for the lack of one playoff win.

I don't disagree, but some of us can't help but see the side of these awesome stats and 8-0 starts and top-tier offenses/defenses, and perfect records at home followed by yearly playoff meltdowns that means disappointment.  

Personally, I (as well as some other fans, pundits, and at least a few former Bengals players) am of the mindset that this organization has certain people in high-ranking positions that are so free from accountability that they have installed a virtual ceiling where winning a playoff game is tantamount to a more functional organization winning it all AND the prettier stats you show me, the more it seems to substantiate that point.

Basically, these stats (and I'm a drama queen, fair enough) and talking up how talented the Bengals are just make me think of odd stuff like a woman who is a genetic 10 who never bathes, or a guy with an IQ of 165 who just sits around and plays Nintendo all day, or something.  If you don't make something significant of your talent, eventually it becomes a knock against you...a lot of us are disappointed in the Bengals and disappointment can only exist if there is something to indicate under-performance.

We saw the Buffalo Bills prove that a team can actually make the playoffs 10 times in 12 years, make 4 Super Bowl appearances and still wind up being a gigantic joke because they simply can't turn one very specific corner.
