Drafting Jaylon Smith in the first?
#38

The difference between Smith's injury and Ogbeuhi's boils down to the foot drop caused by the peroneal nerve being stretched. His surgeon stated it can take 9-15 months for full recovery for the foot drop. If the peroneal nerve recovers. His surgeon has seen full recoveries. Thing is . . . there are no guarantees.

The real concern is the nerve. Not the nonspecific tissue tears you keep mentioning.
Based on what I know right now, I would not draft Smith until round 4. I love the LB, but he is a huge risk and definite not worthy of a #1 pick.
I agree, the issue is the nerve damage.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.
