the bottom line is St. Louis is a mid market city.. to lose two NFL franchises in a span of 20 years is pretty much a death pill anyway you swallow it.  

To compare LA to St. Louis is not the same, LA is the second largest market.. the NFL brass want teams back in the second largest TV market.. they really could care less about St. Louis especially after giving them another team in the 90s.  Also have you been to a game in St. Louis, that stadium was not good at all...
