To each their own, but I don't get this line of thinking. Winning a playoff game is another step in a progression towards winning a championship. I'll always be happy if my team gets one step closer.
If you don't care about winning a playoff game, then why care about winning in the regular season? After all, you said it's Super Bowl or bust, so by that logic, you shouldn't care if we win regular season games either.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
