On a more serious note...that's an interesting character choice.  I'm actually surprised HBO decided a woman leader/warrior needed to be a lesbian.  Her sexuality has absolutely no importance to the story.  It sort of seemed like the entire point was so they could make dick jokes.

I think it was just an excuse to fit some much needed titties into the show.

I suppose it sort of fits with the media "Pirate Queen" persona. Not sure that the real life pirate queens were lesbians, though.
