it really means nothing other that what they viewed your potential vs cost (draft Pick) and we know how often that pans out.
Plenty of draft picks don't see an active roster and quiet a few UDFAs do.
Only thing it really affects for teams is they will most likely give a higher investment (draft pick) a little more time or benefit of the doubt in most cases. but its all based on perceived potential.
