I disagree with this prediction, but let's remember the line between 7-9 and 9-7 is practically invisible. Bad breaks happen all the time in the NFL. We can downplay the loss of Sanu and Jones, but they were veteran WRs who knew where they were supposed to be in our system. Who knows if Eiffert can stay healthy, while Kroft has shown promise we can't expect him to be the same level of Eiffert. We are putting a new Safety in the back end of our defense, while he was good in limited action it is yet to be seen what he can do over a full season. Burffict will miss time to start the year and we still haven't gotten great play from our LB's as of recent years.
As I said I disagree, but 7-9 isn't a crazy prediction. Now 4-12 is crazy and someone just looking to make headlines, but 7-9 could be reasonable if you assume there has to be a back slide at sometime. Remember there aren't many teams in the NFL currently who have as many consecutive playoff appearances. If the logic is, at some point they have to have a hiccup it wouldn't be the craziest thing in the world.
