Well, I pretty much clarified my thoughts in the post you cherry picked.....maybe he could've even been had for cheaper.  A corner as good or better may even be on the team already, but he is an unknown.  I even added the cons of my scenario. Also, if you're going to cough up that kinda dough for a CB, go pay a better one if you can get him.
