Run the ball doesn't mean don't have any receivers in a pattern
#1
The Cowboys only loss this year was to the Giants.

The Giants had 28 pass attempts and 25 rushing attempts
The Redskins had 46 pass attempts and 17 rushing attempts (and lost, 27-23)
The Bears had 49 pass attempts and 15 rushing attempts (and lost 31-17)
The 49ers had 23 pass attempts and 29 rushing attempts (and lost 24-17)

Let's face it, the Bears and 49ers are horrible. The message I am trying to convey here is not necessarily that the Bengals must have an even number of pass and rush attempts, but they must stop telegraphing the run plays with the formations. Running the ball with only two receivers in a pattern plays right in to the hands of the defense. I would like to see more rushes out of the stacked formation where you take 3 or 4 defenders away from the LOS to one side of the field. The predictability of the Bengals rushing attack not only leads to little success but almost no big rushing plays.
