Guys Marvin Isn't Going Anywhere

Whether its a tank of a season with players that doesn't warrant the record they produced or worse yet playing a great regular season only to show up in the playoffs with absolutely no preparation and execution at all against their opponents.

He's not going anywhere. This team can go 2-14 this year and every fan, media commentator, mother, father and sister can scream for a change in Cincinnati and all it will do is make Mike Brown dig his heels in like a 5 year old boy who refuses to share his toy with others and holds onto it with dear life.

It really is a loss cause when it comes to Lewis. Mike Brown's loyalty to Marvin isn't a testament but more of an admission of guilt of how damn lazy the front office is to put the work in to have a coaching staff that is competent enough to make this team win in the post season.

So if you need to post about Marvin to vent..go ahead...we've all earned it! If your posting to seriously ask who would be the next coach? Stop. Stop right now because your 1st grade child will graduate college and Marvin will still be leading the Bengals.

I agree with you, Marvin is not going anywhere until he is ready to.  Some would point to the one year extensions as a sign that Mike Brown has him on some sort of notice, but I've always thought this is how Marvin wants it.  That he is probably not certain how much longer he wants to do this (he is getting up in age and certainly has enough money to enjoy the rest of his life).

I firmly agree with the bolded statement.  Mike Brown is not going to feel pressured into anything.  It is his way or the highway when it comes to this organization. I've always felt that doing things his way is the most important thing to him.  Winning and being respected around the league?  Sure, those things are great, but not nearly as important as having his say.
