I firmly agree with the bolded statement.  Mike Brown is not going to feel pressured into anything.  It is his way or the highway when it comes to this organization. I've always felt that doing things his way is the most important thing to him.  Winning and being respected around the league?  Sure, those things are great, but not nearly as important as having his say.

I agree, he wants it that way in the point you mentioned above and I also think he uses it as leverage so he doesn't have a long term commitment and less say from day to day operations.
