Yes, of course there were exceptions, like Billy "White Shoes" Johnson and Gastineau started the 'sack' dance, but for the most part, the most celebration you saw was the spiking of a football.
I am too young to give you specific examples, but know that I've seen quite a few NFL films from that time period that show people celebrating.
