Allowing him to play with an injury that isn't healed, and could easily be made worse by one wrong movement, is very risky. I think that taking into account 'what could happen' is smart in this case. The risks heavily outweigh the benefits IMO.
It would have been nice to see AJ get his 1,000 yards, but I honestly don't feel like it was worth the gamble.
