Yep...he was targeted a number of times and had eight receptions. I don't recall any drops. Granted, he only got 40 yards on those receptions, but with the pass rush of the Texans there was not time for much downfield which is not the fault of the receiver.
And remember, that was his first significant action as a pro. His second game, he showed the speed, elusiveness, and toughness to get good YAC. The job of the X receiver is to stretch the field vertically. Core is the fastest WR on the team. He can clearly stretch the field. If you double AJ, Eifert, Core, Boyd, etc. should be able to chew up a lot of field.
