I was keeping my eye on him, at the beginning of the season, then they showed a clip of him telling how he was the best QB in the SEC. Prolly shoulda waited until he had a better OL to go proclaiming how good he was, as I think the others in his conference may have saw the same clip.
Meh, I think this is a bit overblown. He still had a 62.5% completion percentage in 2016 and a good TD to INT ratio. He also had a pretty damn good performance against Alabama (421 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT, 65% comp). And to be fair, the kid did have a REALLY good year in 2015, so a college kid with that kind of success, so it's not like his cockiness wasn't unwarranted.
For what other QBs could be available late, Kelly seems like the best talent. Maybe Sefo Liufau from Colorado or Joshua Dobbs from Tennessee could be other options. Either way, it's a late round pick to compete for a backup spot.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
