11 draft picks. Do the math. Even if they were to get rid of the players you suggest, that leaves five additional draft picks fighting for positions. Who else goes? This should be entertaining if nothing else.
Are you sure that the players coming in would be upgrades? You want to just give them the position instead of earning it? Yeah, that worked out well with Bodine and Ogbuehi.
As far as the Belicheck reference, he is one that loves to compile picks for later draft classes, so try again.
(Easily?) replaceable players:
Rey Maualuga
Pat Sims
Cedric Peerman (if re-signed)
Russell Bodine
TJ Johnson (if re-signed)
Eric Winston (if re-signed)
Marquis Flowers
Clayton Fejedelem
Derron Smith
Margus Hunt (if re-signed)
DeShawn Williams
Add in backup QB if McCarron traded
There are plenty of opportunities to make the roster. Will all the drafted players make it? No. But the roster isn't "too deep" by any means.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
Sorry for Party Rocking!
