A few off the top of my head. You don't have to go get the top FA. Somewhere between the top and the scrap heap are very good players who help the teams that signed them get to the SB, or at least be in the running. You can't Tampa Bay your way to a SB but you can Denver your way to one. How many more years should AJ et al have to wait to have a real chance?
