It's annoying when you're with a group and one guy goes "Do you have Green Summer Pale Fish Moose Bladder on A Bicycle Ale? No? Oh, well then how about a New Iron Age Tomato Paste Vinaigrette Jet Plane Book Shelf Old Fired? No, ok, how about..."
And there's just as many crappy craft beers out there as there are Budweisers and Natty Lites.
But, with that said, there's a lot of really good, not watered down beers, too. Stuff that's just a basic, good tasting beer that will sometimes have a lot more flavor. I just wish they had a different approach for bringing them to the shelf outside of being trendy. And right now, that's what they are, trendy.
You're right...I don't get over the top on the craft beer craze....I have a few I really enjoy, most of them are local....Falls City, West 6th Brewing, and I like the stuff Cincy's Mt. Carmel puts out....and a few others. I also tend to lump imports into this category, and there are some fine imports out there.
