Speed isn't everything.  Speed is an awesome gift to have, when it is in the body of someone with tremendous athletic ability to use it, ala Darryl Green, Deion Sanders, Randy Moss, etc.  However, if the guy is only really good at running fast in a straight line, he's not much good to a team.
